Um ... guess who just successfully compiled and flashed code for an ESP8266 on ...

Well, I'm happy about it anyway!

Well, that's a complete failure ...

Well, holy shit! Progress ... Look at that "Espressif ESP8266 SDK is installed, its libraries and headers are merged with the toolchain"

Who knows if it works. That can come later. But if it does, [ ] <- THAT much closer to programming ESP8266's with !!

I lied to growfs(8) today when I said I backed up the partition. I hadn't. Should I feel bad and does growfs(8) deserve an apology?

You're infiltrating my tech-ing life thingy, @mwlucas! I had to use ed today, and it made me think of you. I'm not sure what to feel about that.

And, The Witch Doctor Gen.2 unibody is now in the works!! CNC machines are therapy, plain and simple.

@florian @mwlucas I thought I had said enough at the time to counter the voices that claimed I broke an embargo with #KRACK.

I am very disappointed that this myth is still being upheld. For me this stretches beyond #OpenBSD because this myth can damage my reputation as an independent open source consultant ☹️ I realize these people probably have no intention to damage me personally but that is what they are doing by spreading lies about what happened.

That "git blame" is called that instead of "git credit" or the like is an example of needed emotional labor not being performed in tech.

One doesn't "blame" their teammates for the code that works, which usually constitutes the bulk of a code base.

At work today, I am Jack's complete sense of ennui ...

More fun to be had today. Playing with packaging on busybeed. make package ... pkg_sign ... all good stuff! If anyone wants to play with ease:

cd /etc/signify
doas wget packages.traceyemery.net/emery

doas env PKG_PATH=packages.traceyemery.net/%m/ pkg_add busybeed

This will work with 6.3 or snapshots on amd64 and i386. I'll be extensively testing busybeed on i386 over the next couple of weeks, as I've never used it in that arch.

I hope that's all done properly! LOL. Toodles.

I've upgraded the bsd.network instance to v2.4.0rc3.

**AS PART OF THIS UPDATE I HAD TO ROLL THE 2FA CODES! *** Your two-factor auth codes have been deleted, and will need to be re-created. If I already manually rolled yours, it's been rolled again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

@bcallah did a video for nycbug-ports-workshop ever come to fruition?
