Wonder what market forces resulted in them offering more for #OpenBSD exploits 🤔

and now #gitlab seems down... 500 errors and a 502 from their status page...
and #slack is down... productivity 🚀
2. I hated the shooting mechanics - the guns lack a punch and the aiming feels floaty.
3. The abilities were uninteresting and had no significant gameplay impact.
4. The main characters were bland, uninteresting and poorly developed.
Coming after games like Bioshock, Dishonored, Wolfestein & Doom - this game feels like a waste of time.
Since Black Ops 3 was free on PS+ this month I forced myself to go through the whole campaign of and I must say It's the worst FPS I personally ever played - multiplayer excluded as I didn't even try it.
1. The campaign was generic, boring - nightmares looked far more interesting but I couldn't stomach the same game again, just with a voice-over and changed enemies - to the point of replaying the same cutscenes, where the lipsync still does the old dialogue but is just muted for the voice over.

Setting up The Longest Journey on #OpenBSD for @nemessica
Deploying on Friday - easy. Try the same but juggling a CVE, old & new CI/CD pipelines & force pushing branches while you finish up migrating some repos...
Deploying on Friday #NeverLearn
Treated myself a mechanical keyboard today. I usually just used the built in one on the laptops but this feels so much better.
Things I like about #gitlab so far:
- company wide issue board
- project groups
- CLI interaction (the way it suggests links to visit post git commands)
- feature branch handling in the UI with auto naming branches
- CI/CD
- time tracking
The gitlab CI/CD stuff looks interesting. I might just drop the self hosted jenkins & ansible scripts.
Migrating koparo to gitlab, let's see how this feels.
In our #rails app today we had a need to bulk insert largish (230M) batches of data frequently into the DB without the process taking too long (2-3 seconds max).
Sequential inserts in ActiveRecord - took forever (40s).
Bulk insert using a postgresql feature - took forever (21s), because ruby ate all the time by building the query.
Ended up dumping the data to disk (SSD) and importing it via postgresql COPY command - nearly instant.
Some time ago a digital watch appeared which made me back to my teenage 90's, offering just a date and time ⌚️
Let's make it simple again. Meet a phone which you can just make a call - tiny Nokia 3310 renewed and resurrected, together with its unforgettable ringtone, message signal and the Snake📱
Finished #Bioshock Infinite: Burial at sea ep 1 & 2.
1. Felt like more of the same, it's nice to see Rapture again but the story wasn't that engaging. I left it for a year before going back and finishing it.
2. That was a huge surprise, dindn't expect the game turning into Dishonored and I loved the mechanics they added. The story was OK, not amazing but better than episode 1 - the save game system however was terrible.
