*zero length documents are imported seamlessly. For documents with one or more characters, seams are required.
I used Framemaker in the 90s for a pharmacy math book project, and it worked well, but took a long time to tweak formulas and set up templates.
@philvuchetich FM is okay, but it's SURE not a writing tool.
