Book idea: modern X.org environment configuration
(things like not writing xorg.conf from scratch, xrandr, fontconfig, explicitly not about gnome and whatnot)
@saper To write that, I'd need a whole bunch of different video hardware. And that much X would drive me nuts. So I'm not likely to do that.
It's procedural, not contextual... there's no story behind many different X setups.
@mwlucas my dual nvidia/Intel setup where neither xinerama or xrandr work on both makes up for my lab :) but I was surprised I could make it work half decent and it could become even better if I knew more. On one hand one thinks the market would be big very big, on the other - even a speaker from #redhat had trouble getting their machine connected during #FOSDEM
I did not understand the last part though, could you elaborate...?
