This might seem like a small and petty thing to be upset about, and it probably is, but I had looked forward to this move as the next stage of my life and personal development. The feeling of having that fall apart because of my mental health is so disheartening.
I've been denied health insurance from most Spanish insurance companies because of mental health issues. My job won't move me to Spain, despite having support up and down my management chain.
Looks like my dream of moving there has pretty much fallen apart, unless I can find a Spanish company that can hire me despite not yet having business-level Spanish proficiency.

@pamela I grew up poor, so my first programming experience (if it can be called that) was an N64 and one of those “cheat cartridges”.
Turns out you can learn a surprising amount of things with only a breakpoint debugger and hex editor disguised as a toy, no instructions or prior knowledge, and too much free time.
